Where we are
The village of San Miniato stands on a hill halfway between Pisa and Florence in a very strategic position, which made it the object of contention between the two cities in medieval times and then the scene of bloody battles until the final Florentine conquest.
The top of the hill is dominated by the Rocca di Federico II, dating back to the 13th century, which completed the fortification of the village. It is still possible to enter the tower and climb to the top to enjoy a breathtaking 360° panorama.
